Dicks Stores will not carry Vick apperral

Touching on what I was talking about yesterday about wether or not anyone would merchandise Micheal Vick or not I came across this today; According to Darren Rovell of CNBC, none of the 400 Dick's stores in 40 states will have a Eagles No. 7 jersey on the shelf. "We are simply evaluating the reaction of Eagles fans before we commit to buy it to sell in our stores," Dick's chief marketing officer, Jeff Hennion, told Rovell. "Right now, we're not sure how much demand there really is. If there's demand for it, we'll sell it."

So I just pose the question then if a week from tonight Vick goes out there and shows the world that he still has the moves and the stores that did elect to carry his jersey are selling out, does Dick's change their minds? This was really the point I was trying to make yesterday the companies that pull ploys like this from Dick's that decide (refuse) to carry the merchandise at one point should they then be allowed to carry it at a later point? Mike Vick whether people want to look at it this way or not sells. He sells to the ones that like to watch him play, the ones that have been down, the ones seeking second chances, the ones that never stopped loving him, and whether you want to face it or not he sells to criminals. I want to clarify that I will not be buying a Vick jersey nor am I that big of a fan but I can look at it with open eyes.
